Welcoming a new member to the team in our family owned and run business is always a special event in itself. What makes this instance extra special is that that new member is my mother, Sigrid Tidmore. Sigrid originally relocated to Puerto Cayo in May of 2015 to begin this amazing new chapter in life and be closer to her family that had moved here to Ecuador, especially her newly born granddaughter Mila at the time. While completely bias on presenting how amazing she is, it’s worth saying that outside of my boasting, she is an incredible fine artist whose career history spans from owning her own marketing firm, serving as Director for the US- Mexico Chamber of Commerce/Gulf Coast and building the Patel Foundation for Global Understanding into a powerhouse non-profit among other exploits. Her history with Ecuador is well established going as far back as to her organizing the visit of the Nobel Peace prize winner Mohammad Yunnus to Ecuador to discuss microfinancing in 2009. Her international skill set and experience as a non-profit pioneer and business professional bring to our group an incredible amount of value that is directly passed on to our customers. We couldn’t be more excited and proud to announce this. It’s rare in this world that family has the opportunity to work together. Getting to do so in a foreign paradise is a gift that we will always be left without a price sufficient enough to pay.
Here’s to you Mom!
